Well, that stinks

So the online photo storage site I've used for 15 years or more has just decided they will no longer host pictures I want to add to my blog and have put up ugly blocks on them all.

My apologies for the unsightliness - I now need to figure out what to do and move all my pictures. (grumble grumble grumble)

Looks like Blogger's editor will let me drag and drop - certainly simpler than adding HTML coding, but does anyone do that?

  1. That happened to me years ago but I can't remember what I did. I think I opened a flash drive and then pulled them into that so I could upload elsewhere. Just checked and realized it's Picasa! The page said to log into Google photos and all will be there. Will see if that's true. I did not receive a notice about its "retirement".

  2. Yes, I got an email from Photobucket today saying they don't support 3rd party sharing unless I pay. That's blackmail to me LOL.
I just upload direct from my desktop into Blogger without using a photo hosting service now.

  3. I upload from my computer to blogger straight too. Works fine. It's possible it gets stored somewhere up in interwebs land, but I'm not sure where. Good luck! I really want to see your problems with the last band. At least you know now that the parts you were wondering why they weren't filled in should be filled in. Sigh.

  4. I do just as Jo, ... and Margaret. Blogger keeps all your photos somewhere over the rainbow, and you can re-use them without re-up-loading them. It's quite easy and user friendly - and quick if you haven't got a far avay on the countrysid-internet connexion like mine ;)
